Race 8 Churchill Downs 9.40 Echo Town (6/5)
Promising colt who caught the eye with how well he won at Oaklawn Park over this trip in March, driving clear in the closing stages; beaten just a head in a stronger affair last time and looks to have a leading chance here; sure to go well.
The US NAP could do with a winner and we head to Churchill Downs to start a new week hopefully on a high. ECHO TOWN looks a nice colt in the making and he had won two of his first three before going down just a head last time. That was a good race and the winner looks a nice prospect so he certainly didn’t lose much in defeat. This is easier and he can get his head back in front. He looks progressive and will look to track the pace through before pouncing late. Meru won his first two before struggling last time.

Race 2 Fonner Park 10.27 Coil And Strike (6/4)
Ultra consistent filly who deserves to get her head in front now; ran well behind the right horses over 6f here last time and won’t get many better opportunities to shed the maiden-tag; this lacks any real strength in depth and looks the most likely winner.
We head to Fonner Park on Monday night for the NB Stateside and COIL AND STRIKE is expected to finally get off the mark tonight. She tries hard and strictly holds Stellar Bess on that form here earlier in the month. She backed that up to run third over shorter here last time and comes into this at the top of her game. It isn’t a strong race and she won’t get many better chances to get in the winners enclosure. Deeply is probably the biggest danger as she is better than she showed last time albeit has had enough chances too.
