Goodwood 7.20 Flyin’ Solo (11/10)
Progressive colt who showed a good attitude to swoop from off the pace to score at Newbury; relished the step up to this trip winning convincingly at York last month; can improve again and hat-trick beckons.
With the promise of more to come a 9lb rise shouldn’t be enough to stop FLYIN’ SOLO bringing up the hat-trick at Goodwood on Friday night! This colt has really impressed the last twice and given he won with a bit to spare last time the rise looks perfectly manageable. Whitehaven has won his last 3 and 4 of his last 5 but the ground is quick enough for his first run in 231 days. There is some rain due so if it does get softer that will definitely give him more of a chance. Potenza won well at Chester and backed that up at Newbury with that form franked since so he is respected as well. The fav just looks to have the most potential in this field and is a confident selection to win again.

Redcar 2.05 Boltaway (11/10)
Well bred Dubawi colt who left previous form behind to open his account in good style at Doncaster at the start of the month; more to come as he learns to settle and this looks a good opportunity for him to go and follow up.
Stepping up to this trip on handicap debut saw BOLTAWAY off the mark and there should be lots more to come yet. This colt is really well bred being by Dubawi and he travelled strongly into it before winning with plenty in hand last time. He needs to settle better but it wouldn’t surprise me if he raced keenly again in this small field. His class should see him home as he clearly has a bright future. Sabousi is by New Approach and he was unsuited by how the race developed when only sixth at Wolverhampton. This step up in trip will help and he is the most obvious threat to the selection. Fairmac is consistent but I’d be surprised if the selection didn’t improve past him here.
