NAP – Best selection of the evening

Exeter 2.10 Dusart (11/8)

Promising young chaser who made a winning start in this sphere at Leicester last month, drawing clear by 5 lengths; this tougher but open to improvement and looks to have found a good chance to make it 2-2 over fences.

Nicky Henderson continues in great form and he’ll be hopeful the promising DUSART can remain unbeaten over fences. He got the job done as expected on debut in this sphere at Leicester and given he is likely to improve from that initial experience he should have a good chance of making it 2-2. I’m not saying it’s a given as Pats Fancy has looked a nice horse himself but if he is as good as they hope then he should get the better of that rival. His form over hurdles was really solid and he has always been thought of as a chaser. He should jump better than he did at Leicester with that experience under his belt and he can only improve. Flash Collonges should be best of the rest if bouncing back.

NAP

Exeter 2.10 Dusart (11/8)

Leicester 2.20 Sam Barton (2/1)

Progressive over hurdles and while he is yet to entirely convince over fences it is still early days with him and he has come down a further 4lb in the handicap; this is easier and he still brings plenty of potential to the table.

All 4 of these have something to prove but I think it might pay to keep the faith with SAM BARTON for Emma Lavelle. He needs to improve to get competitive but this is his second start following a wind op so if he leaves that Doncaster form behind he could serve it up to these. His mark has come down another 4lb so that’s a 13lb drop since he ran at Ascot in October last year. He definitely still has potential and I think he can get the better of Muckamore who looks the biggest danger to me. He has disappointed the last twice and the market drift at Doncaster was rather telling. If he bounces back he should give the selection a race. Ballinsker has the form to land a blow but I’m not totally convinced.
