NAP – Best selection of the evening
Hereford 3.55 Aggagio (11/8)
Put it altogether to win impressively over a similar trip at Fontwell last time, staying on strongly to win readily; turned out quickly under a penalty but can improve again so hard to oppose against these; most likely winner.
The money was down for AGGAGIO at Fontwell on handicap hurdle debut and he certainly didn’t disappoint. He moved through the race like a useful horse and stayed on strongly to win by a wide margin. Even under a 7lb penalty he remains ahead of the assessor and I’m surprised they have opened as big as 13/8 (I did miss that price). He is likely to go off odds-on come post time and it looks an obvious opportunity on paper. Given the yard I’d like to see the money come and if it does that would only strengthen my opinion here. Moscow Spy could improve now handicapping over a longer trip but will certainly need to if he is to lay a glove on this jolly. Hardy Boy is also worth a look in the betting.

Newcastle 7.45 Hot Diggity Dog (11/8)
Won here as a 2yo and no knocking him recently running a big race on penultimate start before missing just a neck to a subsequent winner over this trip last month; hard to beat if building on that; should be finishing best.
I think as long as this doesn’t turn tactical HOT DIGGITY DOG will be the one to pick them up in the closing stages. Both El Hadeeyah and Lovely Mana could push forward and take each other on and that will help the selection who will look to swoop in the closing stages. This Dandy Man gelding ran a cracker when denied just a neck over this trip last time and given the winner Resilience has followed up since the form has plenty of substance. Foxy Rascal won here in September but has disappointed recently and needs more to trouble these. Ivawood filly Lunasa might be the one to emerge as the main danger as she won over C&D in January and did have excuses last time.
