Race 7 Will Rogers Downs 10.15 Concrete Finisher (7/4)
It wasn’t a great race but it was hard not to be impressed with the way he came sweeping through to finally get off the mark over track and trip last week; he’s entitled to improve on that but a similar run should be good enough to win this; leading claims.
I thought there was a lot to like about the way CONCRETE FINISHER won over track and trip last week and with that win under his belt he could kick on now. This doesn’t look any tougher to me so he is an obvious contender to follow up. Oklahoma Line has been running well and won nicely on his penultimate start. He should put up the most resistance but I think he lacks the class of the favourite so may always be playing second fiddle. Nothing much stands out from the rest but I guess Daring Ego should run okay.

Race 4 Fonner Park 11.21 Trask (9/4)
Eye-catching effort back from over four months off to finish second over track and trip last time, only edged out late; entitled to improve for that run so with further progress on the cards could take a bit of holding here; most likely winner.
We head to Fonner Park for our second best bet of the evening and TRASK stands out in Race 4. He ran huge on seasonal return when second to Green Card and with that rival having gone close since the form has been given some substance. He is entitled to strip fitter now and should take a bit of stopping as he bids to go one better. Rulethenight has been nibbled at in the market and looks a danger having finished third last time. He was all out at the line but wasn’t beaten far so should run well.
