THE US NAP LANDED AGAIN LAST NIGHT SO WE’RE NOW CHASING AN INCREDIBLE NINE-TIMER STATESIDE!
Race 3 Tampa Bay Downs 6.23 Taos (11/8)
Ran a big race in a tougher contest than this when second over a mile here last month; had main market rival Drillomatic trailing over four lengths behind in second and should confirm that form here and come out on top; most likely winner.
The US NAP won again last night as Monmouth Dr came out the gloom to win impressively under Ortiz. That was our EIGHTH in a row and hopefully the win-streak is not done yet. We head to Tampa on Friday night (initial NAP at Gulfstream scratced). TAOS looks a rock solid favourite in Race 3. He was comfortably clear from Drillomatic behind Mighty Ghost last time and if that form plays out again I can see them finishing the 1-2 here. Lord Dragon has been backed but needs more. Drillomatic looks the main threat.

Race 1 Gulfstream 6.00 Starship Bubba (7/4)
Showed improved form back on turf to lead them over a mile here last time, only edged out close home; good attitude under pressure though and stuck to the task gamely with the pair a couple of lengths clear; good chance to open his account.
We have a replacement NB for you on Friday. This horse is also from our Notebook. We’re very confident! STARSHIP BUBBA looks worth backing to go one better at Gulfstream tonight. He is a nice colt who ran a big race when only denied late on last time. He almost certainly has more to offer and this looks a great chance for him to breakthrough. Wordman is the main danger having shaped with promise in just two starts to date. I fancy the pair to battle this one out with experience likely to count for plenty.
