Heavily punted on debut but could only finish down the field; easy trial winner here prior to that and blinkers left off now so could improve a chunk; market already speaking positively and a big run is expected; could easily prove too good.
Our Aussie Notebook runners continue to run well and place but it’s the win we’re looking for so hopefully we can get back on track on Friday. ATYPICAL was really well backed on first start before disappointing, hopefully that’s just money leant to the bookies and he looks to make amends here. He won a trial here prior to that and is surely better than what he showed? The blinkers are off so expect sharp improvement. Sly Sloth is the danger if the selection does fail to sparkle as he is a consistent type.

Race 6 Albany 9.15 Kendel’s Bee Dad (15/8)
Nice looking chestnut who improved to get his head back in front over shorter here last month; expected to step forward on that again and the extra yardage is in his favour so should be hard to beat; can see him getting a good toe into this as well.
We head to Albany for our second tracker horse on Friday and KENDEL’S BEE DAD makes plenty of appeal in Race 6 for Roy Rogers. He is a likeable sort who did well to win last time and with further gains likely he should follow up. I’m expecting him to go off a well backed favourite so keep an eye on the market as I wouldn’t want to see any weakness. Starauthoress continues to knock on the door and is fitter now so should be thereabouts at the business end. Mygirlfrankie is another to consider as well.
