Likeable type who looks to be improving fast; big run when denied by just a nose at Tamworth last time and if managing the wide gate here could take a bit of stopping under Greg Ryan; one to keep on side especially at this level.
I’m expecting BUCKIN’ RIPPA to finally open his account here. The wide gate is a bit of a worry but I guess that’s factored into his price as he’d be even shorter otherwise. If he can get across quickly and get on the speed I think he’ll be extremely tough to pass. He hasn’t done much wrong the last twice and has definitely been knocking on the door. This looks to be his time to shine! Masterhead needs more on what we’ve seen so is passed over on this occasion. Alison Princess is consistent and probably rates the biggest threat.

Smart looking individual who won comfortably on debut at Ballarat, just tracking the speed through before staying on well; likely to have improved for that initial effort and with a good draw it’s hard not to see him go close; this is tougher but can progress.
We stick with debutant winner ELUDING in Race 6 at Ballarat on Sunday. He is meeting a better calibre of opposition but with improvement on the cards he should take the necessary step forward and hopefully remain unbeaten. Quail Hollow is a horse I like too and he won nicely last time so I expect the pair to battle this one out. If you wanted a saver it might be worth doing a reverse forecast on the pair. Loe made the breakthrough at Terang last time and also comes into the reckoning in what looks a good race.
