Race 2 Fonner Park 10.27 Giant Gamble (5/4)
Narrowly denied a hat-trick of wins over the extended 6f here earlier this month; two good wins prior to that and back to 6f should take some catching off the front end under Armando Martinez; holds a few of these on form.
It was another great night Stateside last night but the NAP was one of the only disappointments so hopefully we can get it back on track tonight. We head to Fonner Park again and GIANT GAMBLE looks to have a favourites chance in Race 2 on the card. He landed back-to-back wins over this track and trip prior to going down narrowly last time and with a lead on the cards again he is taken to dominate this opposition. Diesel’s Prize is strictly held by the fav but did run well in third last time so is respected as the danger.

Race 7 Will Rogers Downs 10.15 Spirit Of Caledon (11/8)
Useful gelding who has been running in stronger races than this so should appreciate the drop in grade over a trip that suits him well; fair bit of pace on so should set it up for his closing style up the straight.
The NB landed at 2/1 last night as Gambler finished best up the centre of the track and a similar scenario could end up panning out in Race 7 at Will Rogers tonight. SPIRIT OF CALEDON likes to come late and given he has been running well in much tougher contests than this his finishing kick is expected to be telling in the closing stages here. Intimidating should set him a target to aim at and the harder they go the better. June Two Four is the one I fear most as prior to last time he’d been running consistently well.
