Smart type who is improving as he gains experience; got better with every run and came home well when second at Randwick last time, denied just a head; that form rates highly in the context of this race and fitter now he should win.
Expecting PITCHFORK to make the breakthrough here for John O’Shea. He has looked promising in four starts to date and missed out by just a head to More Prophets at Randwick last time. That looks good form and if he reproduces that or builds on it he will go one better. It’s a race that lacks strength in depth and that’s reflected in his price. Sebourg is probably the biggest danger. The step up in trip can help him so he looks the one to give our selection most to think about.

Good looking filly who is yet to get off the mark in six attempts but not without promise; knocking hard on the door finishing second the last twice and this looks a good opportunity to make the breakthrough; will push forward from a wide gate.
We head to Townsville for the Aussie Next Best overnight and ALL STAR ROCKET looks worth siding with in the opener for Trinity Bannon. She ran a cracker at Narromine on penultimate start on edged out by a neck at the line having done all the hard work. She then backed that up over C&D last time when she suffered interference at the start. With a cleaner break and grabbing the lead she could be extremely hard to peg back. Huge chance! Pantone is probably the danger as while he is still a maiden he is consistent.
