A blank in the end yesterday but Aloe Vera was a late non runner so we’ve still had 3 winners from our last 5 and remain in good form. Both selections run at Newmarket this afternoon and look to have great chances. Always nice to see them getting backed in the market.

Newmarket 1.35 Lady Bowthorpe (11/4)
Progressive filly who made a very promising return winning with a bit to spare at Lingfield earlier this month; defied notable market weakness on that occasion and was given a lot to do but won going away; very much one to keep on side.
We were with LADY BOWTHORPE at Lingfield and she won impressively despite plenty going wrong in the race. She drifted beforehand and was slowly away but came with a powerful run between horses to get there easily in the end and win going away. She could have more to come and a mere 4lb rise doesn’t look enough to stop her. This is a stronger race but she will likely go off favourite and that’s with good reason. Alfred Boucher shaped as though needing the run on return over C&D and can build on that.

Newmarket 2.45 Time Scale (9/4)
Smart looking filly who left debut run well behind dotting up by 6 lengths at Chepstow two weeks ago; can improve again and looks one to keep firmly on side despite the competitiveness of this race; should get a good toe into it; big chance.
This looks a good race on paper but TIME SCALE is easily the most appealing in my view. She won in the style of a useful operator last time and with further improvement to come I’m expecting her to make it two wins from three starts. Concessions was impressive on debut but will have to improve to trouble the favourite. Should be on the premises though. Undertake finished fourth in the Albany so also has to be respected if this doesn’t come too soon.
