Race 4 Belmont 8.35 Giant Leap (6/5)
Smart gelding who looked unlucky last time, slowly away and missing by just a nose at the line; back down to 1400m where he is 1-1 and should take a lot of beating; blinkers should sharpen him up and 3kg claim also helps.
Really hard to get away from the favourite GIANT LEAP here. He is on the upgrade following a narrow defeat last time and with further improvement on the cards should add to his tally. Great Waters won over C&D last time and looks the main danger. He justified good support beating Yamatai and should give the selection most to think about. Hard to recommend much else in terms of win purposes but Bon Odyssey should hit the frame and may be a bit of value in the place market.

Race 4 Sandown 5.10 Lunar Flare (11/8)
Promising mare who has won two of her last three and comes here at the top of her game; beaten narrowly last time and lost little in defeat; likes to come with a strong late surge and hard to oppose in this field.
Everything suggests LUNAR FLARE will make it three wins from her last four here. She only missed out narrowly last time and is still improving so gets the vote. Clementina is the closest in the betting but she didn’t put in her best run last time and has a bit to prove for me. Tysonic may give her most to think about as he ran creditably in defeat last time. Does look held by the selection on previous form though so has her work cut out. Collectable will be finishing well so has to be feared if they go hard too.
