Stratford 4.10 No Regrets (6/4)
Shaped with promise in a race that’s working out well when third at Perth on return; improved on that to win impressively at Southwell last time; turned out quickly under a penalty but looks set to follow up.
There was a lot to like about the way NO REGRETS won at Southwell last time. He came 16 lengths clear at the line to win impressively and clearly must be thriving to be turned out so quickly. He has a penalty to contend with but with the promise of more to come he should go in again if all goes to plan. Fibonacci and Freedom Chimes should ensure it’s no dawdle and the selection will look to sweep past late. The former is probably the main danger but I’ll be surprised if he manages to hold off the selection.

Bath 3.25 Dark Illusion (9/4)
Promising colt who showed ability on debut before improving to finish second at Sandown most recently, chasing home a useful looking colt; should be more streetwise now and looks a leading player on form.
Hard to know how forward newcomer Shimla Rollin will be for Clive Cox but I’m happy to side with experience on this occasion and DARK ILLUSION looks poised to make the breakthrough. He showed plenty in defeat last time and with further improvement a near certainty he looks well placed to shed the maiden-tag. Mister Bluebird certainly doesn’t lack speed and should make this a good test from the front. He’ll need plenty more to hold off the favourite late though I’d imagine. Teddy B looks the main danger.
