Race 3 Belmont 6.17 Chatter Session (6/4)

Progressive mare who comes here chasing a hat-trick following two convincing wins over 1400m at this track; still racing keenly so if she settles she could be even better; firmly on the upgrade and hard to get away from.

The Aussie NAP can do no wrong as we landed our SEVENTH WINNER IN EIGHT DAYS on Thursday (it was a non runner last night). We head to Belmont in the early hours of Saturday morning and CHATTER SESSION should prove hard to beat. She landed back-to-back victories here last time and the extra yardage looks to be in her favour. She is open to further improvement and should have these covered. Overthought is next in the betting but ran poorly last time and has a bit to prove. Looks the most obvious danger if bouncing back mind. Stella Anne also has to be considered but isn’t entirely convincing at this trip.

Race 6 Hawkesbury 7.28 Celandine (6/4)

Exciting mare who won well at Warwick Farm before finishing fourth in a much stronger race last time; has plenty of upside and down in my notes as one to follow as plenty of potential going forward; should win this.

We head to Hawkesbury for our second best bet overnight Down Under and CELANDINE is taken to get back to winning ways. She is a mare going the right way and she could have lots more to come yet. This looks a good bit of placement and I’ll be surprised if she’s beaten to be honest. Crosscheck won over track and trip last time so has to be feared but may always be playing second fiddle to the favourite. Exotic Ruby will be fitter now and could also get in the shake-up. It’s a race that lacks strength in depth now with Frankly Savvy a significant non runner. Kabu and Rose Sauvage are also scratched.
