Race 5 Sunshine Coast 11.00 Lady Brahmos (10/11)
Only beaten narrowly last time but suffered trouble in the run; did her best work late and did well to get as close as she did; this trip looks ideal with a win and three places to her name; down in grade and obvious chance of going in.
Hard to get away from LADY BRAHMOS here following recent form. She won at Ipswich three starts back and has lost little in defeat since. She looked unlucky last time so if bouncing back will win this as she looks a cut above. Lady Melba finally made the breakthrough last time and will probably give the selection most to think about if building on that. Fly For Yulong is back from a break and will need the run. Woodley’s Gold has a nice draw and may run better than his odds suggest but even still has plenty to find with the selection. Concealed Dynamite has plenty of experience and should be thereabouts if rediscovering her best form.

Race 4 Cairns 5.57 El Of A Saga (11/8)
Good looking chestnut who is chasing a hat-trick of wins following two convincing displays over C&D the last twice, albeit just a nose in it latest; can do better yet and taken to brush this field aside as well.
The one to beat is EL OF A SAGA here as she bids for a C&D hat-trick. Reagan looks her biggest danger and he will lead so the selection will need to be at her best to run him down but with further gains likely I’m convinced she will. The second fav did get caught wide last time so is better than that and I do fancy the pair to fight it out but the favourite looks to have the more willing attitude. Clear The Bill certainly isn’t entirely out of it but he was fourth of six last time so will need to better that to have any say in the finish. It’s 8/1 bar those and I’m struggling to see anything else as a danger with the favourite looking to have an obvious chance.
