THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS ON THE FLAT AT REDCAR ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON!
Redcar 3.35 Navajo Spring (6/4)
Charm Spirit filly who won impressively over C&D last month before acquitting herself well in defeat missing by just a short head last time; still looks on a good mark despite a further 3lb rise so should take the beating.
Horses for courses and I think it’s safe to say NAVAJO SPRING loves it at Redcar! She caught the eye on return over 6f at Thirsk and quickly improved to win impressively over track and trip last month. She then bumped into a progressive colt in Sir Titus and only missed by a short head. A mark of 76 should still be well within reach and she can go in again. Kraken Power was only beaten just over a length at Ripon last time but I don’t think the drop back to 5f is going to be ideal. Should be doing his best work late in the day. International Girl probably best of the rest but if the ground softens up she might not prove as effective as she struggled in testing conditions at Nottingham last time.

Newmarket 2.10 Crossing The Bar (6/4)
Improving fast judging by his impressive win at Carlisle last month, forging clear in the closing stages; 8lb rise doesn’t look enough to stop him going in again and one to keep firmly on side for now; hard to oppose.
This looks a good race with Spanish Kiss lining up but CROSSING THE BAR is the one I want to be with. This son of Poet’s Voice really impressed winning on handicap debut at Carlisle and with scope to keep progressing he looks well placed to follow up. Spanish Kiss got off the mark at York last month but is up 9lb so this should be tougher especially coming up against a fellow improver in the selection. I think Crossing The Bar has the potential to achieve more in time so gets a confident vote to win this battle today. The pair look a cut above the rest but Lady Pendragon is entitled to come on for her reappearance run at Windsor. She does have to prove herself up to this trip now though.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Newmarket and Redcar on Saturday afternoon.
