THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 9 AT BELMONT PARK ON SATURDAY NIGHT!

Race 9 Belmont Park 10.12 Bolshoi Ballet (1/1)

Galileo colt who looked an exciting proposition winning his first two starts this term brushing them aside at Leopardstown and then winning impressively at the same venue next time; no show in The Derby but can bounce back here.

I’m looking forward to seeing BOLSHOI BALLET make his Stateside debut tonight. He is clearly a very promising colt and it’s interesting to see Aidan O’Brien target him for this. He should have too much class for this field and I’ll be very surprised if he is beaten tonight. Even money looks worth a bet and he should go off shorter than that come post time if there is confidence behind him. Italian Derby winner Tokyo Gold is an interesting rival but I’ll be surprised if he is good enough to peg back this favourite. Hard Love is a Kitten’s Joy colt who has won 3 of his 4 starts so also has to be feared but he’ll need more to beat the selection who just looks a cut above on all known form.

Race 9 Delaware Park 10.15 Bonny South (1/1)

Likeable filly who prevailed by a head on return at Keeneland and bumped into a very good horse at Belmont last time in a Grade 1; proven at this level and she could even improve again so lots to like; hard to beat.

We head to Delaware Park tonight for our second best bet Stateside and BONNY SOUTH can make it 2 wins from 3 starts this term. She bumped into Letruska last time and was only beaten a couple of lengths so that sort of form should be good enough to take this out. She looks a class above these so I’ll be surprised if she doesn’t win. Dream Marie kicked clear to win last time and that was impressive but this demands another step forward and she has fallen short at this level in the past. Queen Nekia was a couple of places behind the selection last time so needs to find more to reverse that. Gibberish might be the value to run into a place especially if managing to get on the speed early.
