Race 8 Sunshine Coast 8.40 Camerlengo (10/11)

Good looking chestnut who is improving fast and had no problem bringing up the hat-trick at Gold Coast over this trip overnight; hard to oppose if turned out quickly again and one to keep firmly on side today and going forward.

There was lots to like about the way CAMERLENGO stretched away from them at Gold Coast overnight and if he is turned out quickly here he should win again under likely positive tactics. He likes to dictate and he bossed them yesterday. Clearly the most progressive in here and looks by far and away the most likely winner of this. Blue Comet is exposed in comparison and looks vulnerable to an improver like the favourite. Kokopo Kitty might be the danger as she ran well when second to Zumikon last time and that form makes her a player. Goldschlager is another one that can do better but just isn’t running well enough right now to shake up this favourite.

Race 5 Dubbo 6.30 Silverdeel (1/1)

Likeable mare who has won 2 of her last 3 now including over this trip last time; open to further improvement after just 9 starts and if she steps forward again she should have too much for this field; the one to beat.

I’m struggling to look past SILVERDEEL here and it’s no surprise to see her prominent in the betting. She is open to further progress especially over this trip and looks to have a favourites chance in another winnable race. Ollivander has just 2 wins from 33 starts so while she looms as a danger you have to think she is vulnerable for win purposes. Mr Magsman can do better after just 8 starts and might pose a greater threat to the favourite. Blue Tattoo won here on penultimate start before running a bit flat at Muswellbrook last time. If he can bounce back he should also have some sort of a say in the finish but has enough to prove off the back of that disappointing run last time.
