THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) WON OVERNIGHT AND RUNS AT FLEMINGTON!

Race 2 Flemington 2.15 Sirileo Miss (11/8)

Smart mare who has won 5 of her 9 starts including 3 placed efforts and arrives here chasing a four-timer after impressing again in a Group 3 last time, beating Foxy Frida convincingly; can keep progressing so should win.

I know Foxy Frida meets SIRILEO MISS on better terms and is likely to improve but so is the latter and she gets a confident vote to bring up the four-timer. She has won 5 from 9 overall and her profile is progressive. Foxy Frida went down all guns blazing last time and is 3 from 10 herself so looks the most obvious danger. Zing is 4 from 20 so more exposed in comparison to the front pair but still has to be factored in if either of them disappoint. Ruby Tuesday is 6 from 22 but has just the 1 win from 3 attempts over this trip. I can’t see Bella Tiara, Kiss And Cry or Intellective springing an upset as this looks the favourites to lose and if things pan out favourably she should have too much for them.

Race 6 Belmont 8.25 War Warrior (6/4)

Promising type who improved to win on third start and wasn’t disgraced in fourth on final start last campaign; likely to improve and this looks a good opportunity with Rawiller getting the leg up; plenty going for him.

This race doesn’t look to have much strength in depth so WAR WARRIOR can make it 2 wins from 5 starts. His form from last campaign stacks up and he won’t need to find much more to make a winning return. He is likely to push forward from a low draw and with Brad Rawiller in the saddle he has plenty of ticks in boxes. Ellie’n’pink is 1 win from 6 starts and could be a danger trying this trip again. Bourbon Beau has just the 1 win from 9 starts and needs more but is proven over this distance. Don’t Argue Buster looks a good each way bet in here with a win and 2 places from 4 attempts over this trip. He could run better than his odds are suggesting but the fav is clearly the one to beat.
