THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 8 AT DEL MAR ON SUNDAY NIGHT!

Race 8 Del Mar 12.00 Winning Map (11/10)

Promising colt who created a big impression winning easily on debut at Santa Anita last month, going away at the finish; sure to improve from that initial experience and will relish this extra furlong; hard to oppose.

Seconditus hit us quite hard last night but we still banked quite a few winners including in both the feature races. We head to Del Mar tonight for our best bet and the promising WINNING MAP can remain unbeaten. He always looked in control on debut and found another gear to sprint clear at the finish. He is sure to improve from that and as competitive as this is I think he has the most potential going forward so should come out on top. The way he hit the line the last day he will relish this extra furlong and he gets a confident vote to come out on top. Messier was impressive last time and would have to be the danger. This is a big step up though and I think he’ll be playing second fiddle.

Race 7 Golden Gate Fields 11.45 Lagatha (7/4)

Improving filly who bolted up over 6f here last time; getting better with experience and if she turns up in the same form again tonight they will all be playing catch-up; likely to be ridden aggressively and obvious chance.

There are some nice fillies in here and it should throw up plenty of future winners but I have to be with LAGATHA after that demolition job last time out. She really put them to the sword and was never in danger. If she reproduces that tonight I think she’ll have them all in trouble. Red Hot Lass stepped forward to win really well last time and looks the danger if progressing again. Phantom Indian also comes here in really good form having finished 2212 on her four starts to date. She showed a good attitude under pressure again in defeat last time and is unlikely to be too far away. On Purpose was stuffed last time but had looked progressive prior to that and might run better than her odds suggest.
