NAP – Best selection of the evening

THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 8 AT CHURCHILL DOWNS ON SATURDAY NIGHT!

Race 8 Churchill Downs 9.36 Sun Path (11/10)

Promising filly who won 2 of her first 3 starts and was highly tried when last seen running well to finish third in a Grade 3; this much easier on return and she has potential to improve again so obvious chance.

Hopefully we can get the US NAP back to winning ways tonight and we head to Churchill Downs where SUN PATH should be hard to beat. This filly has a progressive profile and was only beaten a length and a half in Grade 3 company when last seen. She should be fit and ready to roll on her belated return and given this is a lot calmer waters her class is fancied to tell. Centre Aisle looks the main danger as she won well on return at Keeneland. This is tougher though and she is coming up against a filly with considerable potential in the shape of the favourite. Miss Mosaic is fairly exposed in comparison to the two mentioned above so I think she’ll need more to fend off the improvers.

Race 6 Del Mar 11.00 Adare Manor (5/4)

Likeable filly who missed by just a neck on debut at Santa Anita; sure to improve from that initial effort and looks well placed to go one better before being targeted at bigger prizes; definitely one to keep on side.

I don’t think ADARE MANOR could have done a lot more without winning on debut and with usual improvement she should be really tough to beat at Del Mar tonight. Even at the time of writing the money is coming for her so she should go off a well supported favourite. She has experience over most of these. Little Lara showed potential on debut when fourth but not beaten far and she might emerge as the main danger to the fav. I Got A Gal has run twice and stepped forward from a mediocre debut to finish second last time. If she improves again she will be involved for a place but lacks the potential and class the selection brings to the table. Micro Share looks the most interesting of the debutants.
