Race 4 Dalby 4.50 Montana Night (10/11)

Improving filly who missed by just a nose at Mackay last month; that form stacks up and this looks an ideal opportunity for her to get back in the winners enclosure; looks the most likely winner so keep on side.

This might not take much winning so MONTANA NIGHT looks a standout off the back of that nose defeat at Mackay last month. She remains open to further progression after just the 9 starts and looks the most obvious winner of this. She should track through the early speed and hopefully will be in the box seat to strike where it matters. Navillus Excel has disappointed the last twice but did run well when second at Rockhampton at the start of last month. If he can get back to that form he might run well but has enough to prove on the balance of form. Prunda is more exposed than the two mentioned above but did run well when second at Ballina last time so also enters the reckoning off the back of that.

Race 1 Corowa 2.35 Americconi (11/8)

Likeable type who looked to need the run on return at Wangaratta but quickly stepped forward from that to make the breakthrough at Albury last time; fitter again here and has more to offer so leading credentials.

The only horse in winning form here is AMERICCONI and I think he can go in again. He is getting better with experience and should be even fitter now so ticks plenty of boxes. He made up a lot of ground to win last time and with good pace on here again from the likes of Mystic Flame and Ameripark it should set up perfectly for him. With usual luck in-running he can come through and finish best of all. Gracious Gracie is still seeking that first win but has some decent form in the book so is probably still the main danger to the favourite. Miss Warny is just 1 from 21 but she shaped well when third at Albury so looks one to consider if managing to build on that here in what is a very weak looking race.
