THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 7 AT GULFSTREAM PARK ON THURSDAY!

Race 7 Gulfstream Park 8.29 Pearlescent (13/8)

Progressive mare who relished the switch to this surface winning impressively here in October; backed that up powering clear to follow up last time and with more to come she can bring up the hat-trick tonight.

The improving PEARLESCENT can make it 3-3 on this surface. She won a few times on turf but hasn’t looked back since switched to a synthetic surface and can strike again while the iron is hot. She really pulled away in the closing stages last time and couldn’t be in better form coming into this. It is slightly tougher again but she is hard to oppose on recent evidence. Omnia signed off last campaign with 4 wins in a row on turf and dirt and didn’t shape badly on return. If she improves from that she could be the danger but might struggle to get near the early pace. Let’s Be Honest was only denied a length in a stronger race than this last time so also has to enter calculations tonight.

Race 8 Mahoning Valley 9.02 Jailbreaker (13/8)

Likeable type who looked good winning on return and has held his form well since going down just a neck over track and trip last time; this easier so if he builds on that he should take all the beating; most likely winner.

With Flaming Hot scratched I think this looks a great chance for JAILBREAKER to return to the winners enclosure. He has been knocking on the door and won’t need to find much more for it to open again. He has some of the best form in the book and ran a cracker last time where he was only denied a neck. He is still a 3yo so could have further improvement to come and gets a confident vote to come out on top tonight. Starship Taxi is probably the danger as he ran well from off the pace last time. He will be hoping for a better position early tonight and if he does he will be a danger. Born To Be King was a place behind the fav last time so that form entitles him to finish close-up again.
