THE US NAP (BEST BET) WON LAST NIGHT AND RUNS AT FAIR GROUNDS TONIGHT!

Race 9 Fair Grounds 11.07 Bertie’s Galaxy (1/1)

Tough sort who has won 3 from 5 this term and didn’t do a lot wrong in a much stronger race than this when beaten less than a length last month; won easily prior to that and if in that sort of form should be winning this.

This looks a great chance for the likeable BERTIE’S GALAXY to make it 4 wins from 7 starts this season. He has the best form coming into this and even in defeat last time had Sir Wellington, Takes Two To Tango and Pickens trailing last time. He should confirm that form with them tonight. That leaves Win Ya Win as the main danger after prevailing at this level last time. That was his best run for a while though so he’ll need to prove he can back that up. Zelig has been held by the latter in the past but he is capable of running well so might show up better than his price but even still it’s hard to see him upsetting this favourite who really should take advantage of dropping down in grade.

Promising colt who made it 2-2 impressively over 6f here in November; looks to be getting better with experience and while this is tougher again he is obviously open to plenty more improvement yet; sure to go close.

I’m looking forward to seeing UPHOLD THE LAW put his unbeaten record on the line at Gulfstream Park tonight. He has looked a really promising colt in the making winning both starts to date and while this definitely demands a step up I think he is capable and if he wins this connections will be targeting potentially graded company going forward. Town Classic is exposed but is running well enough to be a danger. He was a good second to a nice horse in Spycraft last time so a repeat of that could see him as the main threat to the fav despite them having very different profiles. Bagboss improved to win easily last time and is another one who deserves plenty of respect if building on that again.
