NAP – Best selection of the evening
Plumpton 2.35 Top And Drop (5/4)
Good looking mare who was better than ever on return making all to win well at Wetherby last month; value for more so a 5lb rise doesn’t look enough to anchor her here; Ned Fox a good booking claiming a handy 10lb.
She might be an 11yo but TOP AND DROP ran out a convincing winner at Wetherby on return last month and up just 5lb she should take all the beating again here. I think she’ll go forward under 10lb claimer Ned Fox and if she gets into a similar rhythm as last time she is definitely the one to beat. She only prevailed by half a length at the line but was idling so was value for more. Cheque En Blanc stays well and would be a danger if building on that C&D third on reappearance. Uallrightharry has run some good races here so also has to enter calculations but if the selection repeats the form of that last run then I don’t see him being able to peg her back as she will be galloping on strongly.

Newbury 1.50 Amarillo Sky (5/4)
Progressive sort who caught the eye when fourth on chase debut and quickly improved to win at Wincanton; good second to a nice prospect at Ascot last month and has more to come now so looks sure to go close here.
I know AMARILLO SKY isn’t entirely straightforward but there is no doubting his form over fences so far building on his debut in this sphere to win at Wincanton. That form was franked with the second Thyme White bolting up at Doncaster. He then found all bar the progressive Brave Seasca too good at Ascot and that horse has since boosted the form winning by 7 lengths in a good race at Warwick last weekend. He has more to come now and looks the most likely winner. Light N Strike also has solid form over fences and lost little in defeat at Southwell so looks the obvious danger. Goa Lil hasn’t been running badly either so is another one unlikely to be too far away at the finish.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Newbury and Plumpton on Wednesday afternoon.
