THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 8 AT FAIR GROUNDS ON SATURDAY NIGHT!

Race 8 Fair Grounds 9.25 Just Might (5/4)

Progressive sort who has won 6 of his last 7 now and showed a great attitude again to prevail over track and trip last month; hard to get away from on that form and a repeat could easily see him in the winners enclosure again.

This looks a great chance for the thriving JUST MIGHT to win again. He has been successful on 6 of his last 7 starts and while this is a step back up in grade he has proven himself at this level in the past and I think a repeat of that last win would see him home and hosed here. He likes to go forward and boss them and an aggressive ride looks on the cards again. He is 5/4 at the time of writing but I envisage him going off odds-on so he may well be worth backing now rather than come post time. Sir Alfred James impressed last time and if he can back that up he is the danger. Manny Wah was second to the selection last time but wasn’t beaten far and is likely to be in the mix again as well.

Race 10 Gulfstream Park 9.42 Sugar Fix (11/8)

Likeable mare who has won 3 of her last 5 now and was always doing enough to hold on once in front last time; can back that up again here as this easier if anything and comfortably looks the most likely winner.

I’m confident SUGAR FIX is the one to beat at Gulfstream on Saturday night. She is a mare still on the up judging by recent performances and given this is actually a bit easier than last time on paper I don’t think she’ll have any issue saluting the judge again. Quinoa Tifah should put good pace to the race and I don’t think the selection will be far away. Kelsey’s Cross looks one of the dangers running on well when the race was over latest. If she manages to build on that she could get involved. Sister O’Toole is still unexposed and is another one to consider as she could still progress so has to be feared. Lovely Luvy is another one who could run well enough to hit the frame but vulnerable for win purposes.
