Race 5 Canberra 4.43 Allgemeine (6/4)

Promising filly who ran on strongly to make a winning start over C&D back in November; backed that up showing a good attitude to prevail over track and trip again last time; scope to keep improving and should take all the beating.

It’s a really busy couple of days coming up Down Under and hopefully ALLGEMEINE can bring up a C&D hat-trick at Canberra in the early hours of Friday morning. This filly is improving fast and did well to follow up last time prevailing by a nose. She is sure to keep progressing and looks well placed here. I’m surprised 6/4 is on offer as she should go off a fair bit shorter. Important Produce has experience on side and brings winning form to the table so looks the danger. Wilkshire has won 2 of his last 3 and with more to offer after just the 8 starts also has to be in with a shout. Our Baez had looked promising but she has gone off the boil a bit. If she bounces back she could be good value to hit the frame.

Race 4 Moonee Valley 8.45 Royal Dress (13/8)

Improving filly who made a bright start winning on debut at Morphettville back in the summer; put away since and likely to have matured so this looks a good opportunity for her to make it a perfect 2-2 before going on to better things.

I’m keen to stick with the unbeaten ROYAL DRESS at Moonee Valley on Friday morning. This filly impressed on debut and clocked a decent time too. This tougher but she is obviously open to improvement and given time since is likely to have come on plenty. She is promising and can win this before being targeted at bigger prices. Joseylin has won 2 of her last 3 and is the obvious danger. She looks a decent yardstick so should keep the favourite honest. Dancelittlesister won on debut but was poor last time. If she bounces back she could run well but I’d like to see it before I could consider backing her especially against the fav who brings untapped potential to the table.
