THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 5 AT BELMONT ON WEDNESDAY!

Race 5 Belmont 6.19 Henchard (5/4)

Promising type who ran huge on debut denied just a head and quickly put that right making the breakthrough at Northam back in September last year; had excuses on final start; can do better again and big chance here.

The reappearing HENCHARD can prove too good for these and make it 2 wins from just 4 starts. His form stacks up and he had excuses on final start where he was hampered. Given time since he is open to further improvement and should prove a cut above this bunch. The likely danger is Miss Field who won at Pinjarra and then shaped creditably last time. Still has more to offer so should keep the selection honest at least. Probity is a decent yardstick with 1 win and 5 places from just 8 runs so is unlikely to be all that far away either. Forever Dreaming ran well on penultimate start but let supporters down when only fifth of 8 last time so has enough to prove coming into this.

Race 7 Belmont 7.34 She’s A Sweet Deel (15/8)

Likeable mare who has won 3 of her 6 starts do date and is 3 from 4 at this track; not disgraced when third at Ascot and back at this venue should prove too good for these; can still improve too so obvious shout.

The outside gate makes life a bit tougher but even so SHE’S A SWEET DEEL is hard to beat at this track. She has Parnham up and this is easier than that race at Ascot. She won here prior to that and a repeat of that form would see her too good for these. Bandalera Beau has a similar profile to be honest with 2 wins from 7 starts with both of them coming here. Good fourth at Ascot last time and if back to his best will give the favourite a race at least. I Am Spartacus is more exposed but has some solid form in the book and should be in the mix again. All In Red still has more to offer and has won over this trip so also has to enter the reckoning but like the latter is probably vulnerable from a win perspective.
