US NAP LANDED AGAIN LAST NIGHT SO WE’RE NOW ON A HAT-TRICK! Graded racing tonight from Gulfstream, Tampa, Oaklawn and Golden Gate Fields. Daily Double pays 5/1!

NAP – Best selection of the evening

Created a lasting impression hacking up on debut on only try on dirt clocking a decent speed figure in the process; not disgraced on turf next time; lengthy absence to overcome but brings plenty of potential to the table here.

I’m going to chance FURY KAP making a winning return at Santa Anita tonight. The way he won on debut at Tampa was so impressive and while we haven’t seen him since running below par on turf here he still retains potential and could easily prove a cut above these. Connections will be hopeful he can win this before being targeted at bigger prizes in time. Sir Flatter is probably the danger in the betting but he disappointed himself on turf last month so needs to leave that behind to trouble the favourite. Me Likey is capable of better in time but finished quite tired last time. If he improves on that he might be involved but again vulnerable for win purposes? Fav should be winning.

Race 8 Aqueduct 9.30 Bold Journey (6/4)

Promising colt who went down just a length on debut and quickly improved on that to win head in chest over 6f here when last seen in December; sure to improve and likely to relish going up to a mile now; big chance.

I’m struggling to look past BOLD JOURNEY at Aqueduct tonight. He ran an eye-catching race on debut going down just a length into second and confirmed that initial promise hacking up over 6f here last time. He is likely to relish the step up to a mile tonight and should take all the beating if he hits the line as strong as he did the last day. Barese is a perfect 2-2 and looks the obvious danger. He impressed again last time and also looks to have a bright future but I just think the selection has looked more impressive and might always have too much. G Munnings shouldn’t be entirely ruled out but was well held behind the latter last time so has enough to find on that form.
