THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 4 AT MOONEE VALLEY ON FRIDAY!

Race 4 Moonee Valley 8.45 Yulong Command (11/10)

Good looking sort who loves this track with 4 wins from 5 starts here; already struck twice over this trip and overall profile is looking progressive now; won’t need to find much more to follow up here; most likely winner.

We head to Moonee Valley on Friday morning for our best bet in Australia and YULONG COMMAND looks a good bet to follow up his C&D victory last month. He did that nicely and has more to come yet. His record at this track is impressive with 4 wins from 5 starts and I’ll be surprised if he is beaten here. The danger looks to be Capital Reign who has 4 wins from 8 starts but did run below par at Randwick last time so will need to leave that behind to figure. Lunar Hero is a solid yardstick so he is expected to be in there pitching as well but might just struggle to get to the favourite. Both Ashlor and Grandview Avenue don’t look good enough to spring an upset here and are readily opposed.

Race 1 Quirindi 2.00 Geisel (6/5)

Improving colt who took his form up a notch to make the breakthrough at Tamworth last month, sitting on the speed and finding enough to prevail; can build on that now and looks the most likely winner in this field.

Hard to look past the promising GEISEL here for Paul Perry and Grant Buckley. This colt is on the upgrade now judging by that last win and now he has tasted victory he should go right on with it. He will push forward and might always be bossing these off the front. Tornado Light has a similar profile to be honest and she looks the danger to the favourite. She wasn’t disgraced at Gosford last time but was expected to do a bit better. She was slowly into stride so if she gets away on terms she may pose more of a threat. Tintern Power is more exposed but does arrive off the back of two good runs so has to be feared. He is 0/3 over the trip though and may need to find more to get back in the winners circle.
