Race 7 Mahoning Valley 8.33 Beverly Park (1/1)

Hit the line hard to get back in the winners enclosure last week and won 2 of his last 3 now; hard to beat if in the same form and step back up to 6f should help if anything; comfortably the most likely winner.

The likeable BEVERLY PARK looks to have found a good opportunity to win again. He has a terrific strike rate and impressed handling the drop back in trip last time. Back up to 6f now he has plenty going for him again and should take a lot of stopping. I’m pleasantly surprised that even money is on offer as I had him more of a 4/7 chance so it will be interesting to see what price he is come post time. Astro Jak would have to be the danger on recent form having won on penultimate start and then only gone down a neck last time. He holds K W Captain Hook on that form too so should be the main threat to the favourite. Saint Goar is open to further improvement and looks best of the rest.

Race 5 Gulfstream Park 7.37 American Starlet (7/4)

Promising filly who made a bright start winning on debut over track and trip last month, showing a good attitude to hit the line in full control; only going to improve on that initial effort and can make it 2-2 here.

This is quite a good race and it should throw up plenty of future winners but I’m keen to keep AMERICAN STARLET on side. This filly really impressed winning on debut and she is only going to get better with experience. She should push forward and hopefully she is up to the task. Brit’s Candyman left his debut run behind to win readily last time. He could emerge as the danger but will need to improve again. Classicstateofmind won impressively on penultimate start but was beaten last time and this looks a bit more competitive if anything so he’ll need to find more as well. Bueno Bueno has own his only start on turf so has to be feared but again this is a lot hotter than the last race he ran in.
