NAP – Best selection of the evening
Huntingdon 2.45 Galop De Chasse (11/10)
Progressive chaser who was back to his best winning convincingly at Ludlow last time, crossing the line with a bit to spare; 5lb higher here but more to come yet and expected to have too much for these late on.
With 2 wins from 4 starts since sent chasing the improving GALOP DE CHASSE can confirm that form over main market rival Golden Boy Grey. He hit the line in good style at Ludlow last time and looks back on an upward curve now so I don’t expect a 5lb rise to be out of reach. Golden Boy Grey won his next start after being beaten 5 and a half lengths by the selection so that form was franked and while he was turned over at odds-on last time he is still the most likely danger again here. Caddyhill took well to chasing winning at Sedgefield but hasn’t really gone on from that. He should be fitter from that spin over hurdles but will need to find more to cope with the fav who should be too good.

Sedgefield 2.20 Powerful Position (13/8)
Bred to make a chaser so while he faltered over hurdles no surprise to see him improve to win in this sphere at Ffos Las back in November; couple of incompletions after but back to form last time; more to come now.
Despite lacking fluency POWERFUL POSITION ran out a convincing winner at Ffos Las at the start of the month and with further improvement to come as his stamina is drawn out he is taken to follow up here with talented 3lb claimer Jack Tudor in the saddle again. There is room for improvement in the jumping department so if he is slicker over his obstacles he should make light work of a 7lb rise. Gameface is also unexposed so looks the danger in opposition. He made the breakthrough over hurdles here before following up switched back chasing at Hexham. He’ll need more up 7lb but like the selection does have potential as a stayer so is feared most. Loch Linnhe is just about best of the rest.
