NAP – Best selection of the evening

Plumpton 2.30 Hiway One O Three (6/5)

Progressive sort who took his form to a new level bolting up at Carlisle last month; backed that up with another convincing performance at Fakenham last time; up 12lb but more to come yet and this winnable again.

With just the 5 runners heading to post HIWAY ONE O THREE should take all the beating at Plumpton on Sunday. He has won his last two at ease and even a further 12lb rise shouldn’t be enough to anchor him. He can do better again and should be finishing best up the hill under Tom Cannon. Hit The Rocks was a good second to Sword Beach over 2 miles here last month but he needs to prove his stamina up in trip here. That has to be concerning so I think Fred Bear might be the danger. The issue with him is he will go forward and likely get into a pace war with Strike The Flint so the fav should always have him in his sights to run down. That makes him a really strong play to land the hat-trick.

NAP

Plumpton 2.30 Hiway One O Three (6/5)

Fairyhouse 2.20 Jeremys Flame (6/4)

Won 2 from 3 before disappointing at Naas 3 weeks ago; brushed Dolcita aside to win by 5 lengths on penultimate start so very much the one to beat if managing to bounce back here; likely to get a nice toe in again.

It’s hard to look past JEREMYS FLAME despite that rare hiccup last time. She travelled strongly before proving five lengths too good for Dolcita when the pair clashed in February and a repeat of that would see her back in the winners enclosure here. The pair are likely to battle this out again so 6/4 about the selection could actually look a decent price which I didn’t think I’d be saying after that run last time. Darrens Hope ran better when second to Lifetime Ambition at Limerick but she has to prove she can back that up now and I’m not convinced. Hurricane Georgie was well held behind Riviere D’etel at Navan and needs to jump better here to have any sort of a chance.
