Our best bets in America on Thursday night
Sky Sports Racing have live coverage of US Racing tonight and we have covered SEVEN meetings and picked out our best bets.
TONS TO COME STATESIDE! Racing in American on Thursday night from Laurel Park, Gulfstream, Aqueduct, Oaklawn, Turf Paradise, Sam Houston and Penn National. Daily Double pays 4/1!
NAP – Best selection of the evening
Race 3 Turf Paradise 10.20 Bedrock (11/10)
Won head in chest on penultimate start and given too much to do last time but was hitting the line strong; hard to beat off the back of that back down in grade; should find this much easier; most likely winner.
The run of US NAP winners came to an end sadly as we rattled the crossbar but hopefully we can quickly get back on track at Turf Paradise tonight. The likeable BEDROCK can get himself back in the winners enclosure. He was mightily impressive at a level similar to this on penultimate start before running huge in a $100K event last time. If he reproduces that sort of effort here he should be well on top close home. Swamp Souffle also scored on penultimate start but struggled to back that up last time and will need to better that here to trouble the selection. Passed By Paul has won 2 of his last 3 and might have a squeak of hitting the frame if coping with this step up in grade. Definitely tougher.
NB – Second best selection of the day
Race 7 Sam Houston 12.45 Ernie Banker (11/8)
Progressive sort who brought up the hat-trick over track and trip last week, showing a cracking attitude to run them down and get up by a neck; this easier so should prove hard to beat if matching that level of form.
The US NB was an impressive winner last night so hopefully we can make it a double at Sam Houston tonight. ERNIE BANKER is looking to land a four-timer and given this looks easier than that last race he won he should prove tough to beat. He closed up rapidly late and just got there. He certainly knows where the winning line is and I think 11/8 is pretty generous at the time of writing. Rosie’s Outlaw looks the threat as he won nicely on penultimate start before going down just a nose on turf last time. He is the one I think will be battling it out with the favourite. River Ruler is a big price if bringing his best form and might be the value bet to hit the frame. Release The Beast looks best of the rest.
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP & NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the night to maximise profit. They run at Turf Paradise and Sam Houston on Thursday night.
