Bank Holiday Monday’s Best Tips

BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY! It’s a busy one with racing from Kempton, Curragh, Bath, Beverley, Down Royal, Windsor and Warwick. Daily Double pays 4/1!

NAP – Best selection of the evening

Beverley 4.26 Yummylicious (11/10)

Dubawi filly who caught the eye finishing on heels at Windsor last month; suffered some interference but finished strongly; likely to be a lot sharper now and hard to beat as long as they go a good gallop; plenty of potential.

The money came for YUMMYLICIOUS on handicap debut at Windsor last month and while she failed to land the gamble she was only beaten 3 lengths. She just looked a bit tapped for toe before meeting trouble and then ran on strongly at the finish. She will know a lot more now and given that Windsor race has thrown up a winner in Mystic Wells and some good placed efforts it looks solid form to me. Discretion looks the danger for Roger Charlton. She improved to finish fourth on return at Newbury and like the selection has more to come now. She might just need a bit more time to be seen to best effect. Tucson Cloud is another filly well bred and she is improving with each start as well.

NAP

Beverley 4.26 Yummylicious (11/10)

Windsor 4.01 Excel Power (11/8)

Progressive sort who improved to win at Chelmsford and then stepped forward again to win convincingly at Haydock last month; up a further 4lb but not done improving yet and should have another big run in him.

Sticking with a son of Slade Power in EXCEL POWER at Windsor on Bank Holiday Monday. He is on a hat-trick and is hard to oppose on recent efforts. He is only up a further 4lb and with potential to do better again can prove too strong once more. Fox Power wasn’t disgraced when third at Wolverhampton and could be the danger if the change of scenery has done him good on debut for David Simcock. Via Serendipity has won over C&D before and will strip fitter from that Newmarket run so also has to be respected. Mr Tyrrell doesn’t look in good enough form to win this and the only other runner in the field is Free Solo who isn’t on a bad mark but again needs more on debut for Jamie Osborne.
