THE NAP RUNS OVER JUMPS AT SEDGEFIELD ON TUESDAY NIGHT!

Sedgefield 7.20 Latino Fling (6/4)

Likeable mare who has won 2 of her last 4 and wasn’t disgraced when third off this mark at Carlisle last month; step back up in trip will play to her strengths and looks the one to beat again in bringing similar form.

Back up in trip LATINO FLING looks the one to beat at Sedgefield on Tuesday. She was only beaten 3 and a half lengths into third at Carlisle and that was over a distance shorter than ideal. This looks a bit easier and I think she can resume winning ways under Brian Hughes. Pure Surf is likeable and she has won fresh in the past so she could be one of the main dangers to the favourite. Guidedbythescience wasn’t disgraced when fourth here following a wind op and if building on that would have to enter calculations as well. West Lawn needs to go up in trip if anything so I don’t really see this test suiting. Both Calliope and Desaray Girl look to have enough to prove at present and so are best watched.

Fakenham 3.05 High Tech (7/4)

Won twice on the Flat in France and looked set to go close at Southwell before taking a tumble at the last; more to come for sure and if none the worse from that mishap looks a good bet to serve it up to Rathmacknee.

I’m keen to side with HIGH TECH for Dr Richard Newland. I think he was set to win when coming down at Southwell and as long as his confidence hasn’t been knocked I think he can make amends here. He was useful on the Flat in France and looks capable of making his mark over hurdles now. Rathmacknee is favourite for Nicky Henderson but couldn’t land the odds at Hereford last time and for me needs to do better. He is obviously open to improvement following a wind op but he might just end up needing this. I think the selection will be sharper and I’m confident he can land the prize and at better odds too. The Bandit has potential but will likely come into his own as he steps up further in trip.
