THE NAP NEEDS A WINNER AND RUNS OVER IN IRELAND ON FRIDAY NIGHT AT CORK!

Cork 6.00 Sacred Bridge (5/4)

Progressive form winning first four starts before failing to handle the track in the Cheveley Park; looked to need the run when an encouraging fourth on return; hard to beat back down in trip and leading claims.

Hopefully SACRED BRIDGE is back to her best at Cork on Friday evening. This Bated Breath filly was only beaten 2 lengths on return at Leopardstown and if that’s blown away the cobwebs back over a sprinting trip she should have too many gears for this field. The way she won her first 4 starts was very impressive and she still brings a lot of potential to the table. Velocidad is by Gleneagles and she won her first two starts before finding the top level too taxing in France. She can still do better so looks the biggest danger to the favourite. Ladies Church is quite a tough filly and her form ties in with the selection albeit held so might not be too far away on her return. Head Mistress likely best of the rest.

Wolverhampton 7.56 Profit And Loss (2/1)

Caught the eye running well behind Watermelon Sugar at Leicester last month and improved on that to get back in the winners enclosure at Chepstow; 6lb penalty but hard to beat if transferring that to the AW.

Now that PROFIT AND LOSS has his head in front there could be a fair bit more to come so he gets a confident vote to follow up switched to the AW at Wolverhampton on Friday night. He ran on well the last day and a 6lb penalty shouldn’t be enough to anchor him here in what appears to be another winnable race. Waverley Star went down just a short head at Musselburgh and that form could see him emerge as the main danger to the favourite. Brazen Akoya was expected to do better on reappearance but didn’t find much. She might figure if she comes on for that run returned to the AW. Galileo Gold filly Golden Gal also has to be considered on her recent form.
