Doncaster 4.51 Thesis (11/10)
Kingman colt who has improved with every run; bumped into another nice prospect at Newbury with the field well strung out and then missed just a short head at Lingfield latest; can progress again and should win this.
The promising THESIS can open his account at Doncaster on Saturday. This Kingman colt chased home My Prospero on return at Newbury before losing out by the smallest of margins to Awaal at Lingfield. If he continues his race-by-race progression then I expect him to open his account here under Jamie Spencer. The danger looks to be Dark Angel colt Mount Athos who himself looks to have a bright future as well after finishing second on debut. That form looks solid but he just lacks experience compared to the selection and I can see him running well here without winning again. Of the newcomers Stoute saddles Red Rambler who could be one to keep an eye on. Royal Parade is also noted.

Musselburgh 2.46 Aasser (11/8)
Promising colt who returned with a win at Lingfield running on well to take it up close home; well backed at Hamilton last time but things didn’t pan out for him; definitely worth another chance and looks the one to beat.
I know AASSER failed to fire somewhat at Hamilton last time but that looked a decent race and it has already worked out quite well since. He could never get into a position to challenge really and I think it might be worth forgiving. He is off the same mark this afternoon and I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t go close. With Point Lynas out now he has just the 3 rivals to beat so it really does look a good opportunity. Dig Two is relying on the first-time cheekpieces to spark some improvement but I don’t think he is the most straightforward. Celestial Star ran well when second here last time and if she steps forward from that she might be the one to emerge as the main danger to the favourite.
