MY US NAP RUNS IN RACE 6 AT THISTLEDOWN ON TUESDAY NIGHT!

Race 6 Thistledown 8.20 Grins N’ Wins (13/8)

Tough mare who showed a great attitude to bring up the hat-trick over 6f here last month, doing well to get up given how wide she had to come; holds a few of these on that form; clearly the one to beat and four-timer beckons.

Tips are back Stateside and GRINS N’ WINS is a confident bet to oblige at Thistledown on Tuesday night. She is eyeing up a four-timer now and holds Cat’s Rhythm on that last run. She had to come 5 wide to get there and with a better trip I think she’ll beat that horse further here. Her win over track and trip prior to that saw her fend off Dancin’ Rosie and Cat’s Rhythm so they have enough to find to overhaul that form and I just can’t see it. I actually think Congrats Jensen may pose the biggest threat. She has been running to a consistent level and only went down narrowly last time which was encouraging. Lola Louise is quite a big price but has enough to prove on that reappearance run.

Race 8 Philadelphia 9.14 High Opinion (15/8)

Likeable mare who acquitted herself well in defeat to finish third in a Grade 3 at Belmont last month, running on well at the finish; remains unexposed and this easier so big chance to get back in the winners enclosure tonight.

This looks a great opportunity for HIGH OPINION to get herself back in the winners enclosure tonight. She doesn’t know how to run a bad race and again was finishing beaten just 3 lengths in a Grade 3 last month. That form makes her a standout here and I’ll be surprised if she is beaten. Gladys has won 2 of her last 4 and impressed from well off the pace to win last time. If she improves again she is the one I think will fight this one out with the selection. Wicked Groove looked progressive when last seen but has been off 108 days and this is a tough ask if she is lacking match fitness. Deciding Vote is on a hat-trick but this looks to have more strength in depth than the race she won last time.
