Sunday’s UK & Irish Horse Racing Tips

Likeable type who looked back to his best winning well over C&D last month; strong form at this track so could prove hard to beat again despite a 6lb rise; should be staying on best up the run-in; looks great value.

Rapid Flight was very determined to prevail over C&D last time but he is turned out fairly quickly after that and he would have known he had a race that day. He carries a penalty and this looks to have more strength in depth so I think he is opposable. I really like DEE STAR with Kevin Brogan in the saddle. This son of Shantou was dropped 4lb by the handicapper and bounces back to form denied just a short head at Hexham last month. He built on that to win well over track and trip last time and even up another 6lb you’d be foolish to rule out another big run. He goes particularly well at this track and looks to tick plenty of boxes. I’m surprised he is as big in the market as he is at the time of writing.
