Race 7 Sunshine Coast 7.25 Beaux Rumble (1/1)

Promising type who justified strong support to win over C&D last month, showing a good attitude to come out on top; can improve again over this trip and looks well placed to salute the judge once more.

Lots to like about the claims of BEAUX RUMBLE at Sunshine Coast overnight. This race is cutting up too with Rapido Gris, Tuscany Bound, Win Burn, Miraclesfromheaven and Ascot Express all coming out. He will likely push forward now from a low draw and should take a lot of pegging back if getting the fractions right. You’ll Be Mist is 0/5 over the trip and is second fav so that tells you about the lack of quality on show. She is still the danger though as she does have 3 wins to her name overall. The Stifmeister remains unexposed but was nearly last at Ipswich and is going to need to bounce back to have a squeak here and I’m struggling to see it. Archdeacon best of the rest but only has 1 win from 10 starts.

Race 8 Bendigo 8.00 Red Phantom (6/4)

Made a bright start winning on debut at Wolverhampton under Probert; snapped up and now heads Down Under for Nick Ryan; open to improvement and no surprise if he proves a cut above these rivals.

I think it’s likely we’re going to see more and more horses form the UK heading to Australia and abroad in general. RED PHANTOM looked promising winning on debut and with natural improvement could easily be up to making a winning start Down Under. Predetermined won at Echuca last time but that was just his second win from 13 starts so hardly pulling down any trees. Salute To The Sun has gone off the boil since winning at Nowra and might always be up against it here. Swift Hit is only 2 from 17 and definitely needs to show more to trouble the selection. The rest all look up against it but at least Albert The Cat is still just a 5yo so might be capable of better at some stage.
