Race 4 Newcastle 5.50 Capital Reign (6/4)
Promising type who has won 3 from 4 and impressed again winning convincingly at Taree last month; speed to burn and should ping the lids and look to dominate again; one to keep safe against these and going forward.
Looking forward to seeing improving sprinter CAPITAL REIGN out again at Newcastle on Friday morning. He is progressing fast and made it 3 wins from just 4 starts at Taree last month. With more to come he can bring up the hat-trick. He will look to burst out the gate from stall 6 and push forward and make all. The Neon Knight has 4 wins from 14 starts and is a nice mare but the selection is unexposed in comparison and should improve past her. Malahat is exposed compared to the two mentioned above but he does know how to win and ran well when second at Gunnedah last time so has to enter calculations. Similar comments apply to Mr Polar who has won 7 times and also needs respecting.

THE AUSSIE NB (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 3 AT QUEANBEYAN OVERNIGHT!
Race 3 Queanbeyan 4.55 Nothing Compares (13/8)
Good looking chestnut mare who impressed dictating at Moruya three starts back and has acquitted herself well in defeat twice since; only reeled in late at Wagga last time beaten just a length at the line; hard to oppose here.
With potential for a soft lead it’s hard to look past the in-form NOTHING COMPARES for Matthew Dale and Amy Mclucas. This mare is in great form right now with recent form figures of 143 and she won’t need much more to hold them off here. She will go forward and should make all. Invincible Dash has won 3 from 23 but has been performing at a consistent level so needs respecting. Same Old Scene has 3 wins from 13 starts and could run well if returning to that win on penultimate start here. Howlowcanyougo has 6 wins from 27 starts but has a bit to prove after finishing last at Goulburn last week. If he bounces back he could end up being the danger to the favourite.
