MY AUSTRALIAN NAP WON OVERNIGHT AND RUNS IN RACE 8 AT WARRNAMBOOL!

Race 8 Warrnambool 7.30 Sabar (best price 6/4)

Improving with experience and caught the eye going down just a nose here on debut and then progressed to win convincingly at Hamilton last time; open to further improvement and well placed to strike again.

This looks a great chance for SABAR to make it 2 wins from 3 starts. He improved from his near miss on debut to win comfortably at Hamilton and back at this track should have no excuses to go in again. Pride Of Galway won at Mornington on penultimate start but failed to back that up when fourth at Cranbourne and needs to bounce back to have a serious chance of upsetting this favourite. Beauleica has a similar profile to the latter having got his head in front here on penultimate start before letting backers down last time. Needs to bounce back to have a squeak and even then might not be enough if the selection improves as anticipated. Harper Rae best of the rest but this will demand more again.

Race 6 Canterbury 6.15 Journalism (best price 7/4)

Likeable type who looked back to his best winning well at Wyong on reappearance latest; won 3 from 8 overall now so building a nice profile; well placed to go in again with further improvement on the radar.

This looks tougher but JOURNALISM moves back up in trip slightly which will help and I think he has a great chance to follow up. He has 3 wins from just 8 starts and that includes 2 placed efforts too so he is a very useful individual. Mystic Mermaid seems to have needed the runs the last twice and will be fitter here so looks the danger. Unrelenting is more exposed and finished last at Rosehill. If bouncing back might have a squeak but enough to prove at the moment. Kirkeby knocking on the door at Warwick Farm last time and if building on that might have a chance of running well but vulnerable for win purposes on his overall profile. The rest seem to have enough to prove right now.
