THE NAP RUNS OVER AT AUTEUIL ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON AS WE LOOK TO GET BACK ON TRACK!

Auteuil 1.35 Figuero (15/8)

Four from five over fences and remains a horse with considerable potential going ahead; reappeared with an impressive 8-length romp over hurdles in March and rates the one to beat back over the larger obstacles with that run under his belt.

This looks a good race and while FIGUERO has a bit to prove tackling the outer course for the first time he remains an exciting proposition and I fancy him to pass that test with flying colours. He is a classy sort and this trip suits him well. Ebonite looks the one to put up the most resistance as she has experience on side. The market looks to have it spot on! Carriacou is certainly no back number but this is a very good race. Feu Follet has also looked promising but is probably bumping into at least a couple here.

Strasbourg 12.20 Safiyann (2/1)

Zoffany colt who is improving as he gains experience; left debut run well behind when second at Deauville in November; filled the same position on return bumping into a smart one in Alfareeq; more to come and one to keep on side.

We head to Strasbourg on Saturday afternoon for the French NB and SAFIYANN looks to have found himself a good opportunity to get off the mark. I thought there was a lot to like about his second last time and with the winner looking pretty smart coupled with improvement to come he should at the very least be going close. Le Bayou wasn’t beaten far into second when last seen and will be a danger if building on that. Kashgar is an intriguing debutant but he’ll need to be pretty useful to take this out first time up.
