Race 6 Narrogin 8.45 Talented Escape (11/10)

Good looking chestnut who brought up the hat-trick impressively at Ascot last week; getting better all the time and gets in well with the 3kg claim; good draw and looks the one they all have to beat in this field.

The Aussie NAP landed again overnight despite being a bit uneasy in the betting. We head to Narrogin on Thursday morning for our best bet and TALENTED ESCAPE looks the one to be on as she bids to bring up a four-timer. She did it well again at Ascot and is going from strength to strength. She gets in well with the 3kg claim and that coupled with a decent draw makes her tough to beat. Admired impressed on penultimate start but failed to back that up last time and will need to bounce back to lay a glove on this favourite. Cable Guy has some solid form in the book and is unlikely to be far away but with just 3 wins from 26 starts he has to be vulnerable for win purposes and a place looks his best bet.

Race 7 Rockhampton 6.37 Master Jamie (11/8)

Likeable type who won impressively before going for a break and was only edged out a nose on return; 14 wins from 30 starts to his name so boasts a really strong record; loves this track and hard to oppose.

With that reappearance run under his belt it’s hard to get away from MASTER JAMIE who certainly knows where the winning post is with 14 career victories. He will be fitter now and can make it 10 wins at this track and 6 wins over this trip. Rhyme Nor Rhythm is a decent yardstick and he will put up the most resistance. He is a 9yo now but has a good record with 9 wins from 37 starts. Chezblack is chasing a hat-trick but she is going to need more to trouble the favourite. Ahwahneechee is also going for 3 in a row but again this requires a bit of a step up to win again. Hard to see Tru Blu Tango, Boss Baby or Jay Jay getting seriously competitive as they all have a bit to prove on the balance of form.
