We’ve had a good look at the Australian racing overnight with the focus on Randwick and Caulfield. We’ve also covered Doomben, Morphettville, Ascot and Toowoomba with 56 races covered in total.

VANNA GIRL LANDED THE AUSSIE NAP THIS MORNING AND IT RUNS IN RACE 4 AT RANDWICK ON SATURDAY!

Race 4 Randwick 4.45 Quick Thinker (6/4)

Progressive colt who comes here chasing a hat-trick; won the Tulloch Stakes convincingly at Rosehill last month and followed up by a nose in top company in the Australian Derby over further here last time; back in trip and plenty going for him.

It’s hard to pick holes in QUICK THINKER here and this improving 3yo should have enough to complete the hat-trick. He beat some good horses in the Australian Derby last time and the step back in trip won’t inconvenience him as he showed he has gears winning the Tulloch Stakes prior to that over this trip. It looks a good bit of placement from connections and he is a confident selection. Entente is also on the up and should run well having also won his last two. Might be overpriced in terms of hitting the frame.

Race 8 Caulfield 7.40 Masked Crusader (2/1)

Promise amidst greenness on debut at Wyong last year and improved on that to get off the mark here on final start, tracking the pace through before comfortably getting on top at the line; returning from four months off but obvious claims of making a winning return.

Fitness is somewhat taken on trust but even still MASKED CRUSADER is one I want to be with rather than against. He is a horse on the up and this looks a nice race for him to make his comeback in following four months off the track. He won really well the last day and looks to possess plenty of talent. Dangers are a plenty with the likes of Knowles, Felicia and even Broadwayandfourth lurking but he looks to have a touch of class and with usual luck in running should be capable of taking care of this bunch.
