THE AUSSIE NAP WON ON TUESDAY AND RUNS IN RACE 4 AT ASCOT ON WEDNESDAY AS WE LOOK TO FOLLOW UP!
Race 4 Ascot 7.24 Stella Door (5/6)
Made the breakthrough at Pinjarra last time, tucking in off the speed before coming through strongly to win well; steps up in grade but open to further improvement and should be hard to beat with Pike in the saddle again.
The Aussie NAP won on Tuesday so we’ll be hoping to follow up here. STELLA DOOR is likely to be a warm order but that’s with good reason. This is tougher but he should continue to improve and will be finishing well. Bruce Almighty is probably the biggest danger as he ran well behind Blazing Billy last time and like the selection should be capable of better. Oxbridge came from way back to open his account at Albany last month and is another one to take into account.

Race 8 Sunshine Coast 7.06 Couldn’t Refuse (10/11)
Did well to win last time given he broke awkwardly; quickly got balanced and settled nicely before staying on strongly to score by over two lengths at the line; looks a leading player on recent form and is hard to pick holes in.
This looks a good opportunity for COULDN’T REFUSE to follow up for Desleigh Forster. He recorded his second career success over slightly further than this at Doomben last time and has plenty going for him again here under Mark Du Plessis. This doesn’t have much strength in depth so he looks the most likely winner to me. Enterprise Jack continues to knock on the door and looks the clear danger. Finished second behind the selection last time and I expect that form line to play out again here.
