Race 6 Belmont 8.10 Showmanship (11/10)
Smart sort who justified favouritism to make a winning debut here last summer; held up and checked in the run when trying to make headway finishing fourth over this trip on final start; likely to have improved plenty and retains significant potential.
The Aussie NAP won again on Friday as Mr Bellagio scored at 9/4 (nice late drift). We head to Belmont on Saturday morning and the potentially exciting SHOWMANSHIP is expected to make a winning return under William Pike. He was an impressive winner on debut and then looked unlucky next start. He has been trialling well and will likely be a warm order. Expected to prove too good for these! Platinum Bullet is the obvious danger as she got too far back last time and should also have more to come. Just bumping into one.

Race 2 Flemington 3.15 Khoekhoe (11/8)
Good looking colt who is improving fast; needed the experience on debut but left that well behind winning at Echuca and then following up at Caulfield last time, thundering home to score by a head; more to come and should be finishing best.
There’s a lot to like about the hat-trick seeking KHOEKHOE here. He ran on strongly to get up in the nick of time at Caulfield and the form of that race has worked out well having produced four subsequent winners. He looks to have plenty in favour again and the hat-trick beckons for this progressive 2yo. Immortal Love made a winning start at Echuca earlier this month and comes here with a squeak. Could be one to follow going forward if running well. Indictment is fitter now and should also be thereabouts.
