THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 7 AT MUSWELLBROOK ON MONDAY!
Race 7 Muswellbrook 6.30 Budhwar (11/8)
Good looking sort who caught the eye back from three months off the track to finish third at Gosford earlier this month; sure to improve from that and this looks a good opportunity to get back in the winners enclosure.
I know 1 win from 15 starts doesn’t inspire huge confidence but BUDHWAR has some very solid form in the book and he caught the eye on return. He should tighten up physically from that and if he does he is a leading chance in a winnable race. He has an awkward gate out wide but given his style that shouldn’t bother him too much. He will bounce out and try and get on the lead and there is potential he won’t see another rival. Arizona Night is the one I fear most. She was only fourth at Scone last time but had excuses and is better than that. If she bounces back to her best she should give the favourite a race and looks good value to hit the frame at an each way price.

Race 5 Muswellbrook 5.15 Rua Raposa (13/8)
Likeable mare who ran a big race in defeat when last seen finishing second at Dubbo in the summer last year; back from 9 months off the track but has conditions in favour and looks to have been found a nice opening.
This looks a good starting point for RUA RAPOSA on return. Her form last campaign makes good reading and with scope to improve this term she is a leading player here despite the layoff. She was only beaten 2 lengths in a big field at Dubbo on final start and can go on to better things in time. She has trialled well and should push forward under Andrew Gibbons. Unearthed is from the same stable and she could emerge as the danger. She disappointed on return but is surely better than that? Her previous form was very solid so if she bounces back it could easily be a 1-2 for the yard here. Miss Eporetto is best of the rest but. she has just 2 wins from 17 starts and should find one or two too good again.
