Smart type who went down less than a length at Ipswich last time in a better race than this; 6 wins already and more to come so good chance of going one better here; proven at this track and 3 from 5 over this trip; the one to beat.

Aussie tips are back overnight and we head to Doomben for our best bet Down Under. AXE is a horse I always want to keep on side as I think he has tons of ability. His profile continues to go from strength to strength and with scope to keep improving he can get back in the winners enclosure here. He is 3 from 5 over this trip so it looks his optimum and he has won once and placed twice from three attempts at this track so what’s not to like? Gee Tee Tee is a promising horse as well with 5 wins from 14 starts which also includes 5 placed efforts. Like the selection he could have more to come so looks the main danger. The betting is certainly suggesting that as well.

Race 7 Belmont 7.33 Vane Tempest (5/4)

Good looking chestnut filly who has 5 wins from 10 starts including 4 placed efforts; ran on strongly from off the pace last time and with more to come she looks well placed to go in again and make it 4 wins from her last 5.

This looks a good race but VANE TEMPEST is comfortably the one to beat. She has a good draw and I can see her going forward and taking a lot of catching. If they go hard early she can take a trail in as well so she’s versatile regarding tactics. With more to come she has to get the vote to strike again! Ay Tee Emm is exposed in comparison but he definitely needs to do more to beat this favourite. Won at Pinjarra last time which was a good effort as he was crowded early too. Just 4 wins from 37 starts though and more than likely going to place than threaten to win. Forest War might be a greater danger as he is lightly raced in comparison and has 2 wins from his last 2. Can give the fav something to think about.
